Respite Care allows families caring for adults with IDD to take a break! This allows the families to rejuvenate themselves or attend to other areas such as their own medical or family needs. For the individual, it is an opportunity to explore new settings and activities and make new friends.
Skills assessments can also be scheduled in the respite setting. Individuals’ skills are evaluated and areas of growth identified so individuals can successfully move forward to their highest levels of independence.
Our goal is to provide a reprieve for people who are supporting someone with an intellectual disability. We provide quality care in safe and fun environments. Individuals look forward to coming! Families and caregivers have peace of mind knowing their individual is well-cared for while they take a much-needed break or attend to emergencies. In addition, opportunities abound to gain valuable skills in a desirable environment.
